Chinatown June 2023 w/ FPC
Our monthly walk somewhere in Philadelphia. This Month we visited Chinatown. It was crowded with shoppers picking up their goodies. We decided to head East towards Liberty Park to view the Chinese Light Festival.
Cape May Zoo 2023
Really fun day spent down at the Cape May Zoo in February. The crowds were at bay and the animals were enjoying themselves.
Longwood Gardens 2022
A long waited trip to Longwood Gardens in Kenneth Square, PA. It was an icy, rainy day, so I spent the majority of the time inside the Conservatory.
Kelby World Wide Walk - Philadelphia Navy Yard 2022
Spent a Saturday with photographers all across the world for the Kelby World Wide Walk. My choice of location in my area was this marvelous place the Philadelphia Navy Yard. There are always new ways of looking at things and then I decided to add my personal creative twist to some of the images.
Orchid home grown
I have a passion for trying to grow Orchids. The difficulty is quite high for most. I have four plants that I give a great amount of my time and effort to keep them going. Carefully watering and feeding them and placing them in the right lighting. I have been so fortunate that I had one plant bloom in March 2022 and as of July it still has the same blooms and going strong.
Carnival Night
After the threat of a severe tornado forecast and getting away with some rain, I headed out to the local Carnival in Bensalem, PA. I set myself up to practice some in-camera motion (ICM). With the help of a fellow Camera club friend, I did pretty well. It was a new learning experience and I had a blast.
Off to Morgantown, PA to the Auto Mall.
The harsh lighting is not great for Photography but great for showing off the shiny vehicles for sale. I managed to find some interesting things I felt were in my wheelhouse.
Seeing Yellow in the Philadelpia Navy yard
A trip to the Philadelphia Navy yard is always a treat. On this trip you can focus on the colors. The color chosen on this day is Yellow.
A Day in Fishtown, Philadelphia PA
You never know what you will find or who you will meet on your photo ops. Today visiting Fishtown after a 2-year hiatus…what a surprise to see how much it has changed, so much rejuvenation. Always something interesting to photograph. On my journey, I hear a shout-out…make sure you are shooting in Raw. I see this biker ride by, and suddenly I recognize the voice. I’ve heard it before, but not in Fishtown. Ha, it was Fro Knows Photo, taking his morning ride. He came back to do a little have a nice conversation with our group. Cool. If you are drawn to windows and what reflections you could see. this is the place to visit, Fun Day. Finished with Lunch at the Front Street Cafe.
A cloudy day at the School House
Spending a cloud-covered day in a faraway abandoned schoolhouse in the coal country of the Northern part of Pennsylvania.
It is worth the trip and the dust and dirt. A day well spent when you come home with dirt on your pants because the best images may be the ones you sat on the dusty floor.
Taking an adventure to the Meadowbrook Farm in Abington, PA. The weather was drenching. The sun was non existent. Despite the wet and uncomfortable conditions…The gardens were spectacular to photograph. The rainy weather enhanced the colors of Spring. Well worth the trip.
Mixed abstracts
Mixed abstracts that can be found interesting on journeys taken from your home and to many places that can be explored. Some are New Egypt Market – NJ, Carbondale – PA, Paxon Hill Farms, New Hope – PA, and maybe a local Junk Yard
Take the opportunity to visit Middle Creek, Pennsylvania. It happens to be a drizzly and quite foggy day. Looks gloomy, but it was a fabulous photo opportunity. The fog lasted until 2 pm that day. Enjoy the open space of farm country.
