about me

Who is Laurie Santoro

Growing up in Bristol, Bucks County, the suburbs of Philadelphia, and spending much of my time as a kid fishing  in Cassalia Pond and biking with my brother Mark. I began taking photos about the age of 10 when Uncle Eugene gave me my first film camera.

At the age of 35, I attended The Art Institute of Philadelphia. I earned a degree in  Specialized Technology in Graphic Design while raising 2 young children and working as a hairstylist. I worked for the “Northeast Times”, and then eventually entered into the family Printing Business, Croydon, PA.

2013, I purchased my first DSLR camera and began studying everything I could get my hands on to learn the technical stuff and composition.

I participate in three (3) local Camera Clubs: Cheltenham Camera Club, Churchville Photo Club, and Bristol Photographers Club along with various Photo Walking Clubs in the City of Philadelphia. “Fairmount Photo Club”“Photography is Medicine” and “Cityscapes”,   and Facebook group: “Create 52 Photography Project”.

I’m having a great time visiting and shooting new places and meeting new people.
